The Town of Palm Beach has about 10,500 homes. Most are condos and apartments (60% are in buildings with 20 or more units), and 84% of occupied homes are owner-occupied. It is also among the oldest housing stock in the county: the median home was built in 1970, and 70% predate 1980. Condo owners should check with their agent about what a unit policy needs. For houses, a 4-point inspection is a near-certain ask from Citizens, and older roofs bring a roof inspection as well.
Wind-borne debris region & sources
Palm Beach County's Building Division says all of unincorporated Palm Beach County is within the wind-borne debris region, and its product-approval guidance notes that all of Palm Beach County is classified a wind-borne debris region. That is the zone where the building code requires protected openings, one of the features a wind mitigation report records. Ask your city's building department to confirm for your address.
